Thousands of Kia vehicles with steering issues recalled in the US

A possible steering malfunction prompted Kia Motors to issue a recall covering over 256,000 vehicles in the U.S., a November 16 article reported.

According to reports, the Kia Soul compact Sport Utility Vehicles are at risk of crashing due to the steering suddenly malfunctioning. In the recall papers submitted by the Korean automaker, the problem may occur due to the weak adhesive used in holding the steering gear components together. Kia stated that they have not received any reports of accidents or injuries involving the vehicles due to the issue. Dealers will begin repairing the steering malfunction on December 22.
