Driver deliberately struck female victim in Madison fatal crash

The jailed driver who was charged after his involvement in a pedestrian accident in Madison that killed a woman told authorities that he intentionally made the accident happened, Journal Sentinel reported on June 27.

Charges including intoxicated driving resulting in homicide and first degree reckless driving were filed against 25-year-old Adam Sutter after he fatally crashed into pedestrian Sara Wolf, 36, on June 18.

A criminal complaint revealed that Sutter told an officer that “he wanted to hit her [Wolf].” The complaint added that Sutter admitted to authorities that he was confused at the time and had sped up his vehicle to hit Wolf. Wolf had been traversing a crosswalk, and Sutter was turning right at a red light when he hit her.

Madison Police are still waiting for laboratory results to find out what intoxicants were in Sutter’s blood when the accident took place. Sutter was held on $100,000 bond.
