Man responsible for fatal pedestrian accident charged

A Racine driver is facing charges for allegedly killing a pedestrian in an accident, an article from Eyewitness News stated on December 26.

Several charges, including drunken driving resulting in homicide, reportedly were filed against Bradley Hayek, 31. Pedestrian Robert Castaneda died at the hospital on December 25 after he was struck by a vehicle allegedly operated by Hayek. Authorities chased and later arrested Hayek after he attempted to flee the accident. Police said Hayek was also charged with skipping bail. If Hayek is temporarily released by settling the bail set to him, he will not be permitted to consume alcohol and will be required to wear a monitoring gadget.
