Ex-football player Thomas Howard killed in two-vehicle car crash

Ex-National Football League (NFL) player Thomas Howard was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Oakland, California, a report from the Huffington Post stated.

According to reports, the accident happened around 1 a.m. when Howard, who was speeding at about 100-110 mph, flipped over the median barrier of the freeway after crashing into a semi-truck. He then hit the side of an oncoming vehicle driven by Zeng Long Liu. Howard and Liu were pronounced dead at the scene by a county coroner.

California Highway Patrol Officer Daniel Hill said alcohol could possibly be a factor in the fatal accident.

Howard’s teammate Kirk Morrison expressed grief on the unexpected loss of his friend by posting a message on his Instagram account.
