Kawasaki recalls new models of Ninja 300s

More than 11,000 recent models of the Ninja 300s motorcycles affected by a stalling problem have been recalled by motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki, a report stated on Friday, August 9.

According to the recall, 11,097 of the 2013 Ninja 300 are affected by an electrical problem that is connected to the wrong setting in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the issue can cause the motorcycle to stop its engine when reducing speed. The recall also affects some 300 ABS motorcycles that were made from July 2012 to April 2013.

Kawasaki will resolve the issue by changing the ECU of the bikes affected beginning this month.
