Study done on drivers and turn signals

A study was recently done by researchers with the Society of Automotive Engineers on drivers using turn signals and it was found that only half of the drivers asked actually used the appropriate turn signals while on the roadway.

It is a law to use a turn signal when changing lanes, making a turn or passing  car, but law enforcement agencies have trouble tracking the number of citations given for this legal infraction.

Not only can a person be ticketed for this, but it is also a safety procedure. Nationwide, nearly two million car accidents occur each yeah due to drivers failing to use turn signals. Those who do not use blinkers have stated that they either do not have time to or are too lazy too.
