Wisconsin DOT: Dangerous driving conditions causes road closures

A snow storm in northern and central Wisconsin, that began on Tuesday night and carried on into Wednesday caused the closure of schools because of dangerous driving conditions in the area.

In the Green Bay area, there were two inches of snow, but other areas received 18 inches of snow. The snow is continuing at this time and 2-4 more inches is expected to fall today.

With the snow comes heavy winds that knocked over power lines leaving 14,000 residents without power. The southern areas of Wisconsin received only heavy rains due to temperatures in the upper 30s.
