Ice on the road caused fatal accident in Mantiwoc County accident

A fatal car accident in Manitowoc County occurred Tuesday after the driver struck a patch ice on the road.

According to police officials, the accident occurred on Dairyland Road when the 34-year-old driver of a Toyota Corolla lost control of her car and struck an Explorer.

The driver of the SUV along with a 6-year-old riding in the car suffered injuries in the crash. The 34-year-old woman was killed in the accident and the 35-year-old man in the passenger seat suffered serious injuries.

The names of the victims have not been released by police at this time. Our condolences are with the friends and family of the victims in the crash.
