Rochester Man Arrested for Racine Drunk Driving Accident

A Rochester man was arrested Sunday night for an alleged hit-and-run drunk driving accident in Racine.

According to officials with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. Sunday just south of the intersection of Highway 20 and Main Street. Police say 37 year-old David S. Willison, of Rochester, struck another vehicle head-on on the highway and then left the scene. Willison was apprehended after he was followed by a witness, police say.

Racine County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Bob Zortman said the two people in the vehicle that was struck sustained only minor injuries. They were transported by ambulance to an area hospital, where they were treated and released.

Willison was arrested for hit and run, second offense operating while intoxicated, and operating a vehicle after revocation, Zortman said.
