One person was killed in an Racine truck accident early Monday.

According to officials with the Racine Police Department, the accident occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. Monday on Highway 10 at Racine Street just outside of Menasha. The identity of the 33 year-old victim has not been released, pending notification of the family. Officials say the victim is from Racine.

According to a Racine Police Department accident report, the man was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he collided with the back of a tractor-trailer. The accident shut down Highway 10 for more than four hours, while response crews worked to clear the area.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
