Three Injured in Racine Auto Accident

Three people were injured in a Racine car accident Tuesday morning.

According to officials with the Racine Police Department, the accident occurred shortly after 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of 21st Street and Taylor Avenue. Authorities say a southbound car collided with an eastbound pickup truck, pushing the vehicle into a streetlight.

The male driver of the pickup truck was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. Two teenage girls in the car were also injured.

A witness who lives near the intersection, 41 year-old Frank Jones, heard the accident from his home. “It sounded terrible,” Jones said. “I heard it and looked out, I saw the guy on the ground. It was that fast.”

All three injured people were transported by Racine Rescue to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Racine Police Department.
