2 Injured in 3-Car Racine Crash

Two women were injured in a three-vehicle accident Saturday in Racine County.

According to officials with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday At the intersection of 7 Mile Road and South 76th Street. Police say a 21 year-old woman was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on 7 Mile Road when she ran a stop sign at the intersection. Her car was struck on the driver’s side by a Suzuki SUV driven by a 39 year-old man traveling south on 76th St. The force of the impact sent the Toyota into a roadside ditch. The Suzuki then struck a Honda SUV driven by a 28 year-old female.

The woman in the Toyota was trapped inside her vehicle for around an hour. She was transported to Froedtert Hospital by Flight for Life, with non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman driving the Honda was also treated at Froedtert but was not seriously injured.
