Racine Man Involved in Johnson Creek Crash, Teen Injured

A Racine man is under investigation after being involved in a car accident in which a Lake Mills teen was injured Sunday.

Police say 42 year-old Eric Sabol was driving a minivan Sunday morning in the village of Johnson Creek when he collided with a moped driven by 16 year-old Zachary Holler, of Lake Mills. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of North Watertown Road and North Frontage Road.

Holler was transported by MedFlight to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for treatment. Sabol and his three passengers were not injured in the crash, police say.

Wisconsin State Patrol Sgt. John Wolfe said Holler was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Sabol and his passengers were all wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the State Patrol.
