High-speed pursuit ends in Racine man's arrest

A Racine man has been arrested after an early morning chase this morning ended in a crash.

The 24-year-old man, from Racine, was taken in by Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department deputies. The chase began around 2:22 a.m., which prompted Mount Pleasant police help Kenosha authorities. The original reports noted that the driver could have had mental problems and possibly was armed with a firearm.

The suspect drove into Illinois for some time before turning around and returning to Wisconsin. Eventually, he crashed his car near the intersection of Highway 165 and Highway 31. Charges against him have been handed over to the Racine County District Attorney’s Office, which amounts to the Mount Pleasant charges. Local traffic law violations have also been filed against him.

If you or someone you know has been injured due to someone’s reckless speeding, you may be eligible for compensation for injuries or damages.
