Man Injured in Semi Crash

A 55-year-old Wind Lake man was injured in a wreck Monday morning when he drove his car into the path of a semi tractor-trailer, Racine County sheriff’s deputies said. The man allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling east, police said. Reports said the semi was southbound approaching the intersection when the car drove into its path. Authorities said the car was broadsided.

The car’s driver was taken to Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa with a hip injury, according to initial reports. Police said the semi driver was not injured in the crash.
