Interstate Reopens After 11 Hours

A semi tanker hauling hazardous materials crashed on Wisconsin Interstate 90/39 Tuesday evening, causing traffic to be rerouted for 11 hours. The driver went onto the median shoulder and back before overturning and blocking both westbound lanes. Three different flammable solvents leaked onto the roadway, authorities said.

The road remained closed until Wednesday morning while environmental cleanup crews and a tow service cleaned up the area. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, refused medical help for minor injuries.
