Man arrested for fourth OWI after riding lawnmower on road

A 69-year-old man was recently arrested after police spotted him driving a lawnmower on the roadway while intoxicated. Police officials attempted to pull the man over multiple times, but he continued to motion for them to pass him on the roadway.

The man finally stopped in a Walgreens parking lot and told police that he had one beer before driving the machine and that he was not aware that you were not allow to drive a lawnmower on the road.

After a field sobriety test, the man’s blood alcohol content was found to be twice the legal limit. He was charged with his fourth OWI offense in court on Tuesday.
