Distracted Driving Awareness Month recognized nationally in April

The month of April is now recognized as Distracted Driving Awareness Month so that drivers can be reminded of the importance of paying attention to the road while behind the wheel.

According to officials with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a distraction while driving is “…any activity that could divert a person’s attention away from the primary task of driving.”

A few examples of this include, eating, drinking, texting, talking, grooming, and adjusting the stereo. The most dangerous of these is said to be texting because it not only uses manual senses, but also cognitive and visual senses. Teen drivers are said to be the group of people who will most likely be involved in a fatal crash due to distracted driving.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a reckless driving accident, you need representation on your side that may be able to help you receive the representation on your side that may be able to help you fight for the justice that you deserve.
